Plus Games will be shut down permanently on 30/05/2025. Games will be moved to our new service Pyxis in the coming days.
We’re excited to introduce a new way to experience games on Pyxis: Pyxis Stream — a simple, fast system that lets you play web games instantly, directly from our servers.
No downloads. No installations. No waiting.
Pyxis Stream was built with one goal: to make playing a game as easy as clicking a link.
At its core, Pyxis Stream lets players run games hosted on our servers without needing to load assets locally or rely on their own hardware or browsers to get everything right. When you launch a Pyxis Stream-enabled game, you're connecting to a pre-configured session where the game is already live and ready to go.
All you need is a decent internet connection and a browser — we’ll handle the rest.
We’ve all clicked on a browser game that looked fun, only to sit through long asset loads, deal with compatibility issues, or hit weird bugs because of browser quirks. Pyxis Stream cuts through that friction by centralizing where and how the game runs.
No need to wait for the game to load on your end.
No worries about which browser you’re using.
No problems caused by different device specs.
Just hit Play, and the game launches instantly from our side.
We run the game on our servers and stream the result to your browser. Input gets sent back, just like any remote desktop setup — but stripped down and optimized for short-session web games.
It’s not complex cloud gaming. It’s not infinite scaling. It’s just a lightweight, practical way to deliver a smooth experience.
It works best for short, lightweight games.
We currently support up to 100 concurrent players per title (more later, maybe).
Compatible with all modern desktop browsers — some mobile browsers work too, but results may vary.
Players:
If you just want to play the damn game without waiting, this is for you.
Developers:
If your game runs fine in WebGL or HTML5 but you’re sick of users complaining about it not loading right, you can try packaging it for Pyxis Stream. It's especially useful for demos and jam games.
We can’t run massive games or anything with server-side multiplayer (yet).
There's no magic scalability — we’re currently limited to around 100 simultaneous players across all sessions.
It’s not a dev tool or an analytics platform. Just a fast way to serve your game.
We’re keeping it lean on purpose so it stays stable and snappy.
You’ll start seeing a "Stream Ready" badge on games across the Pyxis site. If you see it, that means you can launch the game instantly without loading or setup.
We’re slowly rolling this out to new titles — want your game included? Hit us up through our support email: support@xrdevelopment.net
